Fight for Mewtwo

I figured I'd get started on uploading some of my old art to this account. I won't upload everything that I've drawn in the past, just a handful of drawings that I still enjoy (and some other doodles that I like).

I drew this a couple years ago as part of a Legendary Pokémon Battle project I was doing, same as the Groudon and Kyogre drawing. I still like it, even though it's old.

This takes place in the Cerulean Cave, where Mewtwo has resided for years. Mewtwo itself has currently put up a shield of Reflect and Light Screen to shield it from attacks. It is pinning my trainer’s Arcanine against the ground, who is trying to use a Fire Fang on the shield. The trainer is hiding behind his Tyranitar for protection, as he orders his Venusaur and Hitmonlee to attack. Hitmonlee is using Brick Break from a distance to crack open Mewtwo’s shield, and Venusaur is charging up a SolarBeam to fire as soon as the shield goes down.

I do like how I did the lighting in this piece, it's probably my favorite thing about it. Messing around with shading and lighting is one of my favorite things to do, haha.
